Stella M. Witt
Stella M. Witt age 94 of Menomonie died Saturday May 30, 2015 at The Neighbors of Dunn County in Menomonie.
Stella was born March 19, 1921 in Township of Eau Galle, Dunn County. She was the daughter of Earl and Katherine (Pax) Hoyt. As a young child, she grew up in the Elmwood and Weston areas before moving to Menomonie in 1937. Stella married Merlin Hake July 12, 1939 and they later divorced. She married Fred A. Witt August 8, 1951. They made their home in Durand, Amery, Chetek, Spooner, Hayward and various other spots before she returned to Menomonie in 2000 where she has remained the rest of her life.
Stella is survived by a son Richard Hake of California; three grandchildren, Richard, Scott and Scarlet; one brother, Galen (Elaine) Hoyt of Menomonie; a sister Geneva (Howard) Jacob of New Lisbon; three step daughters, Virginia Redlin, Ruby Hinkfuss and Ramona Tennant; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, a special nephew, Ronnie (Judy) Hoyt of Menomonie and other nieces, nephews relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred in 1981, an infant daughter, Sharon; four brothers, Theodore, Donald, Earl and James Hoyt, three sisters, Mary Schroeder, Theresa Hoyt and Katherine Henrichs; two step sons, Jim Witt and Richard Witt a step daughter, Mildred Irene Hulbert.
Those we Love, don’t go away, they walk beside us, every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still Loved, still Missed and very dear.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday June 3, 2015 at Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. Kristine Stedje officiating. Burial will be in the Christ Lutheran Church- Halvorson Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
