  1. Margie Collett

I did not find out about Sandy's passing until after the funeral. I want to express what Sandy means to me and how she help to create the person I am today. She started me on this singing journey when I was five years old. Singing "Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer" at the Christmas Program. Later came the "Teddy Bear's Picnic" at the age of nine with members of the Pierce County Ecumenical Choir. At the age of 15 she coached me through my first time singing for a wedding. I believe I sang eight songs for the Asher-Schroeder Wedding. I also sang for I think "father Brickle's Jubilee", instead of "I did it my way", I sung, "I did it God's Way". Sandy then asked me to sing in the Pierce County Ecumenical Choir at the age of 16 and I sang the solo "Only Jesus Can Satisfy Your Soul". I was on my way to Menomonie; Sunday Aug 16th, and I just broke out singing that song and thought of Sandy. An hour later Bryce Blegen told me about Sandy's Passing. I don't believe in coincidences. I am still singing with the Ecumenical Choir, singing at weddings, funerals, and restaurants on occasion. Sandy started my journey and I am forever grateful for her presence in my life. I always tried to make her proud. You touched my life. I know she knew how I felt because I told her.

    With Sincere admiration and sympathy,
    Margie Collett

  6. Gail Smith Klanderman

I am a Spring Valley graduate, class of 1967. Your mom & wife had a huge influence on me. She did wonders with our small high school choir! Her love of choral music just radiated from her and it was contagious! The favorite choral music I learned was being a member of the Aeolian Choir (a women's choir) Her special gift of directing & teaching made us sing our hearts out! Her music selections were awesome. You may have figured this out by now, but she was my favorite teacher! Her fashion style was also a positive influence on all of us girls. She always looked so perfect. My heart is sad for all of you for your loss. May you find peace and comfort as you celebrate the life she shared with each one of you thru the years. God's blessing to each of you.
