Robert W. Weber

Robert W. Weber age 81 of Elmwood, died Thursday October 8, 2015 at the Heritage of Elmwood Nursing Home in Elmwood.

Bob was born June 21, 1934 in Eau Galle. He was the son of Herman and Nina (Yourell) Weber. Bob grew up in the Eau Galle area and attended school at St. Henry’s until his father passed away and he had to take over the family farm. He took a job at the Armor Meat Packing Plant in St. Paul and worked there for 23 years. Bob married Wilma Turner on July 28, 1956 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elmwood.  After marriage, Bob and Wilma lived on a farm in Elmwood and raised their family. In 1983, Bob went to work for the Sanna Dairies in Menomonie and worked until retirement.

Bob enjoyed camping and fishing. He especially liked horses and watching western movies with Gene Autry and Roy Rogers and had a collection of all their movies. Most of all, Bob loved to visit with family and friends.

Bob is survived by his children; Randy (Jolene) and Scott (Rogjel), both of Elmwood, seven grandchildren; Danny, Derek, Kevin, Justin, Sheena, Stacy and Chad, 16 great grandchildren; Lexus, Logan, Skyler, Ashton, Dominic, Afton, Tyler, McKenna, Kaitlynn, Breille, Madyson, Austin, Kylee, Caleb, Zaynah and Caleigha, one brother; Joe (Cherie) Weber of Orlando, FL, three brothers-in-law; Wayne Ottman of Elmwood, Warren (Daisey) Turner of Menomonie, Harold (Betty) Turner of Kalispell, MT, serveral nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife; Wilma, two brothers; Herman Jr. and Darrel, two sisters; Dorothy Zeilinger and Mabel Weber, two sisters-in-law; Pat Weber and Margaret Weber and two brothers-in-law; Ed Zeilinger and Lawrence Weber.

Funeral Mass will be  10:30 AM Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elmwood with Rev. Prince Raja officiating. Burial will be in the St. Henry’s Catholic Cemetery in Eau Galle. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM Tuesday at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Elmwood and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

    Thoughts and prayers to the Weber Family during this time. I remember Bob being a friendly conversationalist when he would come to visit at the nursing home when I was there.
