Raymond F. Kerg

Raymond F. Kerg age 79 of Elmwood, passed away on Tuesday December 22, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family.

Ray was born August 23, 1936 in the Township of Rock Elm, rural Elmwood.  He was the son of William Anthony and Elva Florence (Allen) Kerg and grew up in the Elmwood area.  Ray graduated from Elmwood High School in 1953.  He served in the U.S. Army for four years, returned to Elmwood and worked for the Village of Elmwood for many years. 

Ray loved traveling, fishing, puzzles and spending time with his family and friends.

Ray is survived by his wife, Charleen, three children, David (Terri) of Hammond, Theresa (Mike) Allen of Eau Claire, Becky (James) Fite of Tucson, AZ; three step children, Brian (Cheri) Crawley of Oakdale, MN, Joseph Crawley of Elmwood, Deborah Crawley of Eagan, MN; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren, a sister Connie Oebser of Menomonie.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Lorraine Johnson and a brother, Lloyd.

No formal services will be held.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday December 27, 2015 at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Elmwood. 

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday December 29, 2015 at the Sacred Heart Cemetery-Farm Hill, rural Elmwood with military honors provided by the Crain-Ottman American Legion Post 207 of Elmwood.
