Gloria M. Hince

Gloria M. Hince, age 89 of Elmwood, formerly of Plum City, died Monday, April 4, 2016 at the Heritage of Elmwood Nursing Home in Elmwood.

Gloria was born on September 11, 1926 in Eau Galle. She was the daughter of Alex Sr. and Bessie (Hite) Kadinger. Gloria grew up in the Eau Galle area and graduated from Durand High School in 1944. After high school, Gloria worked at the Menomonie Sanatorium for one year. Gloria married Frank Hince Jr. on April 5, 1945 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Eau Galle. After marriage, they lived and farmed in the Union Township, rural Plum City. Gloria and Frank raised seven children and Gloria became the secretary for Hince Inc. and Hince Farms Inc.

Gloria enjoyed farming, fishing, canning, gardening and watching her children swim in the Mississippi and at the Lake Cabin Home. Most of all, Gloria loved spending time with family and friends.

Gloria is survived by her children; Frank (Dawn) of Bay City, Henry (Dana) of Elmwood, John of Red Wing, MN and Thomas (Linda) of Plum City, one daughter, Mary (Frank) Falkofske of Ellsworth, two daughters-in-law, Janice Hince of Roberts and Yvonne Hince of Plum City, 19 grandchildren, and 36 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, five sisters; Rosanna (Newoll) Herum of California, Josephine (Leroy) Keenlyne of Eau Galle, Betty (Harold) Sabelko of Mondovi, Ramona (Wayne) Borre of Chicago, IL and Diane (Anthony) Gullickson of Fresno, CA, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, two sons; Peter and Patrick and two brothers; Alex “Bud” Kadinger Jr. and Paul Kadinger.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Friday, April 8, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elmwood with Rev. Prince Raja officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Plum City. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM Thursday at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
