Lori S. Moss

Lori S. Moss age 53 of Durand, passed away Wednesday May 25, 2016 at the Chippewa Valley Hospital in Durand.

Lori was born October 25, 1962 in the Township of Eau Galle, Dunn County.  She was the daughter of Gordon and May (Smith) DeLong, and in the Plum City area, attending the Elmwood Schools, graduating from Elmwood High School in 1982.  Lori was married shortly after high school and started her family, living briefly in Plum City before moving to Durand where she has remained the rest of her life. 

Lori was active in her church, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Elmwood, where she taught Sunday School for several years.  Lori was a busy single mother, committing everything to raising her children, attending to all of their school activities.  Lori also enjoyed going to all of the football and baseball games.  She was an animal lover, but especially she enjoyed her cats.

We lost the sweetest angel on earth and now she is the sweetest angel in Heaven.

Lori is survived by her three daughters, Jenny (James) Kassera of Albert Lea, MN, Michelle and Emily Moss both of Durand; five grandchildren, Japheth, Maggie, Tiffany, Josiah and Victor Kassera, her parents, Gordon and May DeLong of Plum City, a sister, Connie (Ken) Dolby of Menomonie; a brother Dan (Julie) DeLong of Menomonie, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held 1:30 PM Wednesday June 1, 2016 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Elmwood with Rev. Guy Bergenthal officiating. Burial will be in the Weber Valley Cemetery, Township of Eau Galle, Dunn County.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
