Bruce H. Schley

Bruce H. Schley

Bruce H. Schley age 58 of Menomonie answered the call to build cabinets in Heaven on Monday May 30, 2016 at his home in Menomonie, surrounded by his family.

Bruce was born on September 12, 1957 in Ceylon, MN. He was the son of Hank and Lou (Hand) Schley. Bruce graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1976. After high school, Bruce continued his business that he started in high school and remodeled homes in the Menomonie area. He eventually moved to building new homes. Bruce met and later married Darlene (Manor) Raprager on June 25, 1983 in Menomonie. After marriage, they lived in Menomonie before moving to their current home that Bruce built in Cedar Falls. Bruce truly enjoyed going to his shop every day and working. He was an expert craftsman and his passion was doing the detail work on his cabinets, which he was well known for.

Bruce was a very gentle and humble soul. He always had a smile on his face, a dry sense of humor and the wisdom that he shared with us all.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 33 years, Darlene; sons, Matthew (Brook) Schley and Jason (Angie) Raprager; grandson, Tyler Raprager; sisters, Maureen Dilley and Sharlene Schley, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, in-laws, and friends too numerous to mention. He will be greeted by his parents and many others as he enters the gates of Heaven.

Memorial Services will be 7:00 PM Friday, June 3, 2016 at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Menomonie with Chaplin Dale Freberg officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until the time of services at the funeral home in Menomonie.
