Bernard R. Hofacker
Bernard R. Hofacker age 92 of Elmwood, died Tuesday March 21, 2017 at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
Bernard was born February 16, 1925 at home on the family farm in the Township of Rock Elm, Pierce County. He was the son of Robert and Frances (Laschinger) Hofacker. Bernard served in the U.S. Army for a short time. Bernard worked with his father on the farm did plumbing work. Bernard along with his brother, Donald owned and operated Hofacker Brothers Plumbing for many years.
Bernard was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elmwood and was an usher for many years. Bernard enjoyed traveling to Europe, Asia, Mexico, Las Vegas and maintaining the family farm.
Bernard is survived by his brother Donald of Elmwood and several cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday March 28, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elmwood with Rev. Prince Raja officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Monday at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Elmwood and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
