Clarence was in deed a legend in his time. He was ambitious and a real leader but very humble. I am so glad I wrote the book about the history of the Eau Galle Sportsmens club trying to give Clarence the credit he so deserved. When I wrote the book I told Clarence he would be mad for me writing about him. "Our club has blessed with Clarence Schneider who has been a real leader and who knows how to take the bull by the horns," but I told Clarence these things should be said when you are alive and not after you are dead.
I gave Clarence the book and later he said, "I read your book and it is the first book I have ever read in my life." and now I am so glad I did give Clarence a chance to read and review our history. Clarence and I became officers in 1986 with Clarence being President, and oh the memories are so great.
