Darland "Dar" E. Hague
Darland “Dar” E. Hague age 87 of Henderson, CO, formerly of Elk Mound, died Saturday October 21, 2017 at North Suburban Medical Center in Thornton, CO.
Dar was born May 28, 1930 in Ellsworth. He was the son of Clarence and Agnes (Sandstrom) Hague and grew up in the Rock Elm area of rural Elmwood. Dar married Violet Rodewald April 22, 1954 at the United Methodist Church in Elmwood. After marriage they lived in Cottage Grove, MN where Dar worked at Armor & Co. In 1979, they moved to the Elk Mound area until Dar moved to Colorado in 2016, to be closer to his son.
Dar is survived by his son Gary (Lijun) of Henderson CO, and brothers Claire Hague "Skeet" of Ellsworth and Vernon "Vern" Hague of Elk Mound. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Violet in 2006, an infant son Roger
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday October 30, 2017 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Elk Mound with Rev. Allen Christiansen officiating. Burial will be at the Poplar Hill Cemetery in the Township of Rock Elm, rural Elmwood with military honors provided by the Crain-Ottman American Legion Post 207 of Elmwood.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
