Cecilia M. Milliren

Cecilia M. Milliren, age 82 of Plum City, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at the Plum City Care Center in Plum City after her courageous fight with cancer.

Cecilia was born on January 9, 1936 in the Town of Eau Galle. She was the daughter of John and Mathilda (Kaufman) Wolf. She grew up in Eau Galle, attended St. Henry’s School and graduated from Durand High School. Cecilia married Martin Milliren on April 23, 1956 at St. Henry Catholic Church in Eau Galle. After marriage, Cecilia and Martin farmed and raised their family in the Town of Union, rural Plum City. In 1999, they retired from farming and moved into the Village of Plum City.

Cecilia enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. She also loved spending time with her family, friends and neighboring community.

Cecilia is survived by her children; James (Beth) of Spring Valley, Robert (Mary) of Durand, Kenneth (Leah) of Plum City, Sally Noel of Little Canada, MN, Susan Milliren of Firestone, CO, Sandi Milliren of St. Paul, MN, seven grandchildren; Anthony, Jordan, Adam, Kristen, Hannah, Bradley (Danni) and Ashley,  two great grandsons; Oakley and Landon, one sister; Dorothy (Dave) Anibas of Arkansaw, two sisters-in-law; Shirley Milliren of Arkansaw and Mary Jane (Bob) Singerhouse, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Martin and three brothers; Alfred, Galen and John Wolf.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Friday, September 14, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plum City with Rev. Joseph Okine-Quartey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a Rosary and Chaplet recited at 3:30 PM Thursday at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand and visitation one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
