Maxine F. Rundquist

Maxine F. Rundquist, age 87 of Stockholm, died Monday, October 31, 2022 at Country Cottage in Plainview, MN with her family by her side.

Maxine was born on March 15, 1935 at her home in Stockholm. She was the daughter of George “Dewey” and Florence E. (Weberg) Johnson. Maxine grew up on the farm in Stockholm and graduated Salutatorian from Pepin High School in 1953. After high school, Maxine married Wayne D. Rundquist on August 22, 1953. After marriage they farmed and raised their family in Stockholm. Maxine enjoyed spending time at her church, attending bible studies, singing in the choir and being a member of the lady’s aide.

Maxine enjoyed watching high school sporting events, going for long walks and taking care of her farm cats and kittens. She also liked cooking, baking and gardening. Most of all, Maxine loved to spend time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Maxine is survived by her children, Greg (Doug Fenn) of Sheboygan; Patti Jo (Vernon) Andrews of Ellsworth; Brian (Tracy) of Pepin; Cindy Rundquist of Whitehall; Tim (Amy) of Prescott, and Mike (Nicole) of Prescott; grandchildren, Eric (Jenny); Ben; Melissa; Miranda (Aaron); Kyle (Alex); Gavin; Karis; Sophie; Chelsea (Jason); Ryan (Amber); Sophia (Ryan); Mariah; Derek; Morgan; Brandon; and Madasyn; 11 great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Bonnie (Lester) Annen, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wayne and two sisters, Lois Juliot and Laurel Whipple.

Memorial Services will be 11:00AM Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Sabylund Lutheran Church, W11137 County Rd J, Stockholm, WI 54769, with Rev. Paul Oppendahl officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30AM until time of services at the church on Saturday.
