Glenn N. Hammond
Glenn N. Hammond, age 88, passed away his sleep, Wednesday December 28, 2022, at the Heritage of Elmwood Nursing Home in Elmwood.
Glenn was born September 17, 1934 to Earl E. and Verna E. (Podoll) Hammond. He grew up on a farm in Rock Elm Township and graduated from Elmwood High School in 1952. He served in the United States Army Reserve and later attended Stout Institute in Menomonie. Glenn was employed by the US Postal Service in St. Paul, MN, where he was recognized for 52 years of service.
Glenn enjoyed collecting antique tractors and reading. He was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church in Elmwood.
Glenn is survived by his sister, Marian (Alfred) Schultz of Hudson, a sister-in-law, Marjorie Hammond of Menomonie and five nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gerald L. Hammond.
Private Graveside services will be held in the spring at the Poplar Hill Cemetery-Rock Elm, rural Elmwood.
