Juliana  Kelton

Juliana Kelton age 88 of Plum City, formerly of Arkansaw, died Friday December 27, 2013 at the Plum City Care Center in Plum City.

Juliana was born September 5, 1925 in Plum City in her grandmother’s house. She was the daughter of Wesley and Mary (Prokop) Falkner. Juliana grew up mostly in Plum City, graduating from High school in 1942. She married Allen Kelton November 6, 1943 in Plum City. After marriage they moved to Arkansaw. They later purchased a farm where they raised their family and farmed until they retired. Juliana also worked in the activities area at St. Benedicts Nursing Home in Durand. After retiring they built a new house next to the farm.

Juliana and Allen enjoyed spending some winters in Arizona, visiting Hawaii, attending their son’s wedding in Mexico City, and visiting another son in San Diego and Oregon. She was a long time member of St. Joseph’s Church in Arkansaw, St. Ann’s Alter Society, church choir and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Juliana is survived by one daughter, Linda (Jerry) Lieffring of Arkansaw; two sons, Robert (Carol) of Durand; Kenneth (Marcela) of Lake Elmo, MN; a daughter-in-law, Lynne Kelton of Portland, OR; 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, one great-great grandson; one sister Virginia (LaVerne) White of Plum City, several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Allen in 1998, a son James in 2008 and a brother, Joseph Falkner.
