Beatrice C. "Beats" Kohlman

Beatrice C. “Beats” Kohlman, age 86 of Durand, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the Oakview Care Center in Durand.

Beats was born December 7, 1927 in Eau Claire to Vincent and Loretta (Schneider) Radle. She attended school in Eau Claire and graduated from Regis High School. Beats worked at Presto in Chippewa Falls before marriage. She married Frank Kohlman on June 19, 1948 at Sacred Heart Parish in Eau Claire.  After marriage, they farmed in the Town of Lima on the Kohlman farm. In July of 1979, they retired from farming and moved to Durand. Frank passed away in 1994. Beats worked at the Durand Hospital in the cafeteria for 17 years.

Beats enjoyed visiting, playing cards with her friends, reading and doing puzzles.

She is survived by her sister; Dorothy Lehr of New Berlin, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; Vincent and Loretta Radle, husband; Frank Kohlman, three brothers; Richard, Donald and Joseph in infancy.

Funeral Services will be 11:30 AM Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church-Lima. Rev. Raj Arockiam will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
