Jon D. Selburg

Jon D. Selburg, age 47 of Arkansaw, died Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire surrounded by his loving family.

Jon was born at Ramsey County Medical Center in Minnesota on October 30, 1966 to Ronald and Mary (Hunter) Selburg. Jon married his best friend and the love of his life, Melinda McDonnell, on June 16, 2001, and they have been inseparable ever since.

Jon owned and operated Selburg Logging and was a foreman at R.M. Schlosser Excavating. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, four wheeling, fishing, and grilling. Jon was widely known for his famous grilled chicken. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends and the occasional Michelob light!

Jon is survived by his wife, Melinda; his sons, Rick (Tanya) Pichler and Chad (Kayla) Mose; his; grandchildren Caylee, Cashton, and Cora Pichler. He is further survived by his brother; Mike Selburg, Uncle; David Selburg, and Step-father; John Mizerka.

Jon was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and beloved dog Tucker.

Jon’s last act of kindness was to be an organ donor, saving other people’s lives.

A Celebration of Life was held on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the Arkansaw Creek Park in Arkansaw. Honorary Pall Bearers were; Rick Pichler, Chad Mose, Curt Chilson, Jeff (Pelican) Anderson, Jimmy Lien, Ron McDonnell, Casey Tulip, Jason Clark, John Drier and Jim Drier.
