Diane Marie Reidt

Diane Marie Reidt

Diane Marie Reidt, age 67, passed away on September 14, 2014.  She was born to Mathias and Magdalena (Maczkowicz) Sagstetter on June 1, 1947 in Menomonie, WI.  Diane married Dennis Reidt on July 11, 1970 at St. Joe’s Catholic Church in Menomonie.

Diane came from a large family and treasured spending time with her loved ones as often as possible. She enjoyed family outings, attending car shows, crocheting gifts for others, and adored all animals, especially dogs. She was a wonderful and kind mother, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, special godmother and friend to all that she met. Diane had a big heart and was always more concerned about others than herself. She spent many hours caring for her best friend, Shirley Kaufman, before Shirley lost her battle with cancer. Taking care of those around her is what Diane cherished most.

Survivors include her loving husband of 44 year, Dennis; three children, Matthew (Joely Magana) Reidt, Christopher (Katie Kannenberg) Reidt, and Sara Reidt; one grandchild, Morgan Deak; five sisters, Anita Thoeny, Lois Hoff, Jane Wilson (Pat Carline), Jerene (Edward) Grilz, and Bunny (Steven) White; one brother, Robert (Barbara) Sagstetter. She is further survived by three brothers-in-law, Jimmie Bosley, Robert Reidt Sr., Donovan (Linda) Reidt; and four sisters-in-law, Patricia Sagstetter, Carol Schindler, Sue Fedderly, Lori (Tom) Lemke as well as her mother-in-law, Janice Reidt, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Diane was preceded in death by her mother and father, Lena and Matt, two brothers, Alfred Sagstetter and Lester Sagstetter, one sister, Rita Bosley, her in-laws and her beloved granddog, Cam.

Family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Zacherl Funeral Home (875 East Division St, Fond du Lac) from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.  A second visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday, September 20, 2014 in Menomonie at the Rhiel Funeral Home followed by a graveside service, with Rev. John Mano officiating, at the Ford Cemetery, Township of Menomonie, Dunn County.

To my Godmother and Auntie Diane...

I close my eyes as I wipe a tear.
I just keep wishing you were still here.
I will hold all the memories deep in my heart.
Through these memories will never part.

I close my eyes as I wipe a tear.
I just keep wishing this pain would disappear.
I didn't get the chance to say my last good-bye.
I just didn't think you could ever die.

I close my eyes as I wipe a tear.
All of your love I will always hold near.
In my heart and my mind I will never be alone.
    When my time comes......
I will meet you in heaven!
    WE LOVE AND MISS YOU!
