Bernadine J. Radle

Bernadine Julianna Radle, age 83 of Arkansaw, died Friday, December 26, 2014 surrounded by family.

Bernadine was born on February 3, 1931 of Austrian heritage in the Town of Lima, Pepin County. She was the daughter of Fred and Clara (Bauer) Weissinger. Bernadine married Galen C. Radle on September 11, 1956 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Lima. Following their marriage, they lived in the Town of Waterville, Arkansaw, WI. She went from farming, to bookkeeping, to raising a family of six wonderful children.

Bernadine was a caring, religious and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Arkansaw, where she was involved with St. Anne’s Altar Society and other religious organizations. Bernadine was also actively involved in the American Legion Auxiliary, Pepin County Historical Society and Counsel of Senior Citizens, 4-H, and other civic and charitable organizations.

Bernadine is survived by her husband of 58 years, Galen, six children: Byron (Sheryl) Radle of Lakeville, MN; Lisa (Terence) Quinn of Lake Elmo, MN; Deanna (George) Zuniga of Brooklyn Park, MN; Dean (Lana) Radle of Arcadia, CA; Sheila Benning of Apple Valley, MN and Karen (Jim) Pohl of Waldo, WI; 16 grandchildren: Kevin (Shannon), and Michael Radle, Sean, Bridget, Hannah, Elizabeth, and Peter Quinn; Cristina, Jessica, and Sophia Zuniga; Destiny and Jasmine Radle; Anton, Nicholas, Matthew, and Julianna Pohl; one great granddaughter: Isabelle Radle; one sister: Cleo Gibson of Eau Claire; and two brothers: Gerald Weissinger of Durand and Allen Weissinger of Eau Claire. She was preceded in death by her parents: Fred and Clara Weissinger; an infant grandson: John Matthew Quinn; and one sister: Jane Hartung.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Monday, January 5, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Arkansaw, WI. Rev. Paul G. Czerwonka will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Sunday at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
