Paul J. Lieffring

Paul J. Lieffring, age 69 of Boyd, formerly of Arkansaw, died Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

Paul was born on December 11, 1945 in Arkansaw. He was the son of George and Louise (Boigenzahn) Lieffring. He grew up in Arkansaw until the age of 8 when moved to a group home in LaCrosse. While in LaCrosse, the Franciscan Sisters taught Paul how to read and write. At the age of 14, Paul moved to the Northern Center in Chippewa Falls. He was there for 40 years. In 2001, Paul moved to Paradise Living in Boyd, where he became a part of the family there and remained the rest of his life.

Paul enjoyed going for rides and going out to eat. Most of all, Paul loved to spend time with his family, caretakers and friends.

Paul is survived by his brother; Jim J. Lieffring of Arkansaw, two sisters; Joan (Wilbur) Sweeney of Green Valley, AZ and Patricia Ann Puetz of Cascade, his caretakers at Paradise Living, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; George and Louise and one brother-in-law; Dan Puetz.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Thursday, June 25, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Arkansaw. Rev. Paul G. Czerwonka will officiate and Honorary Bearers will be Gail Roshell, Tim Roshell and Rick Schwringle. Burial will be in the church cemetery.Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday, June 25.
