Joanne F. Schwebach

Joanne F. (Weber) Schwebach, age 73 of Elmwood, died Thursday, April 9, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.

Joanne was born on March 21, 1942 to Leonard and Lorraine (Hartung) Weber in the Eau Galle Township. Joanne grew up in the Eau Galle area, attended St. Henry’s Catholic School until eighth grade and graduated from Elmwood High School in 1960. Joanne married her high school sweetheart, John Schwebach on June 15, 1963 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Eau Galle. After marriage they made their home on a farm in the Eau Galle Township where they raised their six children and Joanne remained for the rest of her life.

Joanne enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and many different crafts. Joanne was very involved in the Sacred Heart Parish of Elmwood.

Joanne is survived by her husband of 51 years; John, six children; John (Susan) of Arkansaw; Jeanne (Roger) Lehmann of Elmwood; June (William) Vogel of Jefferson; Joyce (Erik) Mattson of St. Paul Park, MN; James (Jill) of Elmwood and Joanna (Dean Nelson) Dormanen of Boyceville, 13 grandchildren: Rachel (Christopher), Jennifer, Renee, Matthew, Abby, Joy, Kelly, Marissa, Paul, Tyler, Brooke, William and Zander. Also survived by her mother, Lorraine Weber of Elmwood; brothers, Michael (Barbara); Charles (Rebecca), both of Elmwood, John (Melissa) of Arkansaw; sisters, Rita (Gregory) Doverspike of Eau Galle and Mary (Thomas) Baier of Elmwood, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Leonard Weber and one sister, Linda Weber.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elmwood. Rev. Kevin C. Louis, STL will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery at Farm Hill. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Friday at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Elmwood and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
