Anne M. Joose age 92 of Menomonie,

Died: Tuesday Aug. 5, 2008 at the Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie.

Anne was born July 25, 1916 in Menomonie. She was the daughter of Oscar James and Lina (Prideaux) Hellum. Anne grew up in Menomonie and graduated from Menomonie High School in 1934. She attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison and received her Bachelor’s degree in Education in 1939. Anne taught for several years before marrying E. Robert Joose on June 19, 1943. Anne traveled on business with her husband from 1943 to 1950. They made their home in New York from 1951 to 1982. After the death of Anne’s husband in 1981, she returned to Menomonie in 1982 where she had remained the rest of her life.

While living in New York, Anne was very active in various church organizations. While living in Menomonie, Anne was an active member of First Congregational Church and Women’s Fellowship, and a member of the P.E.O. Anne was also an avid bridge player and belonged to several card clubs.

Anne is survived by her son, Robert Carter (Mary) Joose of Attica, NY; two grandsons, MAJ. Jason (Ann) Joose of Baumholder, Germany; Kevin Joose of Retsof, NY; two great grandchildren, Alexander and Brionna Joose. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband E. Robert Joose in 1981; a brother Jack Hellum in 1999.
