Hazel Bell Hall
Hazel Bell Hall age 92 of Elmwood,
Died: Monday September 22, 2008 at the Heritage of Elmwood Nursing Home in Elmwood.
Hazel was born December 16, 1915. She was the daughter of Adam and Fannie (Hoyt) DeLong, and grew up in the Eau Galle community. Hazel married Stanley Hall June 19, 1932. After marriage they made there home in the Eau Galle area and began what was known as Hall’s Nursery, which they operated for many years. After Stanley’s death, Hazel continued operating the business of a few more years, retiring after 50 years in the business. Hazel loved to quilt, gardening, canning and cooking. For the past seven years Hazel has been a resident of the Heritage of Elmwood Nursing Home.
Hazel is survived by two daughters, Arlean (LaVern) Flanders of Wilson; Arla De veau of Temecula, CA; two sons, Art Hall of Elmwood; Gordy (Jackie) Hall of Oronoco, MN;
eight grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn Gibson of Elmwood; Esther Lindstrom of Durand; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Stanley; grandson Scott Flanders; five brothers, Archie, Cyril, Lyle, Claude, and Shirley DeLong and a sister, Lola Schultz.
