Henry "Pudge" J. Roesler

Henry “Pudge” J. Roesler Jr., age 76 of Jim Falls, passed away on Wednesday May 31, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire surrounded by family

Pudge was born August 21, 1940 in Merrill, the son of Henry and Helen (Kriewald) Roesler and grew up in the Hamburg and later Athens areas.  Pudge married Connie Ryder June 28, 1980 in Athens.  After marriage they made their home in Merrill for 21 years before moving to Jim Falls where he has remained the rest of his life.

Pudge worked for many years for Hoffman Construction until retired.  He spent time with his Belgian Horses, showing at fairs and parades.  He enjoyed going to horse sales and auctions.  Pudge also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting and spending time with his family and many friends.

Pudge is survived by his loving wife Connie, two children, Robert (Melinda) Sachsenmaier of Menomonie, Jerry Sachsenmaier in Yankton, SD, his grandchildren, Takoda and Dustin, three great grandchildren, Charlie Lee, Cali Sue and Aaralyn, a brother, Wayne (Marlene) of Athens, a sister Jan (Dennis) Ziemke of Kenai, AK, several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a son Rick Sachsenmaier, a brother Melvin and a sister Lucille Hardt.

Memorial services will be 10:30 AM Saturday June 3, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Jim Falls with Rev. James Kurzynski officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
