Waldo S Cronk
Waldo “Wally" S. Cronk, age 91 of Menomonie, died Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at the Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie.
Wally was born October 27 1916 in the Sand Creek area. He was the son of Leslie R. and Margaret (Feyen) Krause Cronk. He lived in Sand Creek for a few years before moving to the Rusk Prairie. He later farmed with his parents and brothers. Wally married Madge Peck on September 28, 1938. They made their home on Route 2 in Menomonie, where they farmed and raised seven children. Wally continued farming until her retired from ill health. Wally has been a resident of the Dunn County Health Care Center for the last year.
Wally is survived by four sons, Steve (Nancy) of Fredericksburg, VA; Gary (Jancie) of Menomonie; Malcolm (Bonnie) of Downing; Stanley (Vicki) of Cherry Valley, IL; two daughters, Annette (Richard) Graettinger of Cochran; Marion Cronk of Menomonie; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, one son Keith (1962), two great grandchildren, Chad Raehsler and Adam Cronk, two brothers, Neil and Richard and two sisters, Lucille Bartlett and Lila Miller.
