Gene A. Luther

Gene A. Luther, age 60 of Arkansaw died suddenly on Friday, March 09, 2018 at his home in Arkansaw due to a medical condition.

Gene was born on May 17, 1957 to James and Jan (Seyffer) Luther. Gene grew up in the Arkansaw area and graduated from Arkansaw High School. After High School, Gene worked various jobs around the area and was currently working for Black’s Valley Ag in Durand.

Gene enjoyed shooting trap, hunting, making memories with his friends/family and spending time outdoors. People that knew Gene knew he was a pretty plain and simple guy who had a loving heart. He was very proud of his grandkids as they were the two people that would always bring a smile to his face.

Gene is survived by his daughter Traci (Brad) Kilboten of Arkansaw, two grandchildren; Tyler and Madisyn, siblings; Penny (Steve) Blank of Holmen, Jeff (Brenda) of Wabasha, MN and Lori (Joe) Myers of Durand, nephews; Tyson (Christine), Marques (Maggie), Travis (Kelsey) and Trevor (Brittany), nieces; Sarah (Joe), Nicole (Ben), Amanda (Justin), Jenni (Jamey) and Kelley, as well as many relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Services will 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Community of Christ Church in Arkansaw with Rev. Dan Richardson officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Arkansaw Memorial Cemetery in Arkansaw. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church on Wednesday.
