Minne Schoeder
Minnie E. Schoeder age 97 of Elmwood,
Died: Saturday November 29, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Paul, MN.
Minnie was born November 4, 1911 in Almena Wisconsin. She was the daughter of August and Lydia (Teich) Horman and grew up in that community. Minnie attended Barron High School and went on to River Falls Normal. She taught rural elementary school at Cady Creek. Minnie married Thomas Schoeder July 18, 1938. They made their home in Elmwood where they raised there family. Minnie also ran and managed Schoeder’s Bar and Café for many years, retiring in 1973. Minnie then worked at Helmueller’s grocery store for several years. Minnie loved her family and being around people. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling to casinos and spending time with her family.
Minnie is survived by her daughter, Mary Ellen Schoeder of Cottage Grove, MN; two sons, Steve (Rose) Schoeder of Balsam Lake; Mike (Dianne) Schoeder of Cottage Grove, MN; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tom in 1987, four sisters and five brothers.
