Harold L. Wood

Harold L. Wood age 87 of Menomonie, formerly Eau Galle, passed away on Wednesday October 17, 2018 at The Neighbors of Dunn County in Menomonie.

Harold was born on April 13, 1931 in Elmwood, Wisconsin. He was the son of Ralph and Florence (Gore) Wood. He retired in 1997 from Sanna Dairies in Menomonie, Wisconsin after working there for 33 years. Most weekends were spent fishing, camping and grilling with family and friends.

Harold is survived by six children, Dean (Julie) of Menomonie, Pat (Jim) Black of Boyceville, Pam (Bob) Cutler of Chippewa Falls, Dave (Peggy) of Downing, Sharon (Dan) Dick of South St. Paul, MN, Joanne (Chris) Roehrborn of Oconomowoc; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lois Wood and Eileen Wood both of Menomonie; two brothers, Orville (Elle) of Spring Valley, Winton (Judy) of Milwaukee; “in-laws”/ “out-laws”, Joe (Hazel) Berger, Margaret (Casper) Bechel, Dorothy (Robert) Pecha, Carl Robelia; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Terry, and a brother, Russell.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Monday October 22, 2018 at Christ Lutheran Church in Menomonie with Rev. Randy Skow-Anderson officiating.  Burial will be in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner.

    Sorry to hear of Harold's passing. Spent many years at Swiss Miss working with Both Harold and Terry. What great people. Even better we had them for neighbors on the "Mound" for many years. Will never forget them walking across the lawn to join us at our campfire with a beer in hand and one in the pocket.
