Marlene M. Gansberg age 73 of Menomonie, died Sunday, December 02, 2007 at the Luther Hospital in Eau Claire.

Marlene was born, March 4, 1934 in Knapp, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Merle and Lola (Hall) Butteris. Marlene married Herbert Gansberg on October 20, 1956 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Menomonie. After marriage, they lived in Menomonie. In 1964, they moved from Menomonie to a farm in the Town of Red Cedar, where she and her husband farmed and raised their family. Marlene was involved with the Head Start Program for many years.

Marlene is survived by her three daughters, Rita (Jerry) McKahan of Cottage Grove, MN, Susan Lehrke of Menomonie, Mary Gansberg of Green Bay, six sons, Duane, Michael (Jayme), Andrew (Heidi), Jason (Susan) all of Menomonie, James (Alice) of Boyceville and Bruce (Lori) of Waupun, 11 grandchildren, Shanon (Michael) Heil, Sterling Lehrke, Jennifer and Jessica McKahan, Brandi, Ethan, Franky and Chelsy Gansberg, Casey and Chad Wulk, Sydney Gansberg, three step-grandchildren, Becky and Katy Lefstad and Jolene (Solomon) Plank, two great grandchildren, Noah and Cherish Heil, one step-great granddaughter, Sienna Plank, two brothers, Richard, Earl Charles and a sister Delores Butteris all of Knapp, two sisters-in-law, Bernice McDaniel of Astascadero, CA and Dolores Monismith of El Cerrito, CA.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Herbert in 2000, a son Gary, a granddaughter Tracy McKahan, two sisters-in-law, Cecila Pechmiller and Ruby Wilson.
