Abigail G. R. Prissel
Abigail Grace Renee Prissel, age 14 of Durand, died Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Children’s Hospital in St. Paul with her family by her side.
Abby was born on June 17, 2004 in St. Paul, MN. She was the daughter of Stephanie Prissel and Ross Dorwin. Abby grew up in Durand and attended Durand Schools. Abby was funny, stubborn, determined, and resilient. She loved everyone she met and brought immeasurable joy to everyone who knew her. Abby was loved fiercely by her family. She was and always will be the light in our life.
Abby loved all things Batman, Diet Coke, Under Armour, footballs, and the color orange. She also enjoyed camping, dancing, Blake Shelton and singing. Most of all, Abby loved spending time with family and friends.
Abby is survived by her loving parents; Stephanie and Ross, siblings; Brennan and Callie, loving grandparents; Brian and Renee Prissel of Durand, great grandparents; Gene and Maxine Trainor and Dennis Prissel, all of Durand, Aunts and Uncles; Ashley (Colin) Murtaugh of Batavia, IL, Thomas (Emily) Prissel of Durand, Chelsey (Steven) Rademacher of Des Lacs, ND, the Dorwin family, her best friend; Carlin Pfieffer of Durand, many cousins, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her great grandmother; Audrey Prissel.
Memorials are preferred to the Children’s Hospital or the Ronald McDonald House in St. Paul, MN.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00PM – 8:00PM Friday at the Durand Rod & Gun Club in Durand. To honor Abby, you’re welcome to wear your favorite Under Armour, Batman, orange outfit or casual attire.
