Died: December 15, 2008 at Chippewa Valley Hospital in Durand.
Ethel was the daughter of Leo and Lena (Hartung) Schlosser. She was born and raised in town of Waubeek, Pepin Co. She married Giles Drier June 26, 1934 at St. Henry’s Church in Eau Galle. After marriage, they farmed in the Town of Eau Galle, Dunn County. In 1958 they moved into the Eau Galle community where she remained until she became a resident of the Oakview Care Center in 2006. Her husband Giles passed away June 14, 2006
Ethel was an active member of St. Henry’s Parish in Eau Galle. She taught piano and accordion lessons for many years. Ethel enjoyed knitting, ceramics, gardening, bowling, spending winters in Florida with her husband Giles and spending time with family and friends.
Ethel is survived by her son Larry (Virginia) of Eau Galle, three grandchildren, Julie Drier of Chaska, MN, Scott (Jackie) Drier of Durand and Bethany Drier of Houston, TX, three great grandsons, Chad, Brady and Austin, one brother, Paul Schlosser of Sarona, one sister-in-law Barbara Schlosser of Tucson, AZ, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Giles (2006), four brothers, Robert, Shirley, Clarence and Raymond Schlosser.
