I loved Thanksgiving and Christmas as a kid when Brad would come over. I made him play house and dolls with me. At dinner we would put olives on our fingers and thought that was the greatest thing. I love those memories. It is heartbreaking that he is gone, especially at such a young age. My condolences for everyone that loved Brad.

  5. Richard s. Mastroieni

For me Brad cannot be replaced in my life. I talked with Brad at least 2 times a week about everything for the last 20 years. Sports, politics, the Navy, my children, our lives, what was going on in the world! I was Brads boss from 1999 to 2002. I consider myself to be his mentor. Brad was there when I had my 2nd daughter Sophia Marie. He is the guy that I said well Brad I’m going to find out today if my child is a boy or a girl. He said which one would you prefer? I said healthy. He said good answer! Sophia is now 18 years old. Brad was a huge help with my daughter Angelina to get in the Navy. He called the military processing station when she was there signing up. Brad said hey this is chief Lohman! It is extremely important that Angelina Mastroieni gets the best treatment and respect ever. She is Rick Mastroieni’s daughter. Everyone at the MEPS did just that. Brad followed my daughters career all the way through. From July 2015 until the day he died. Angelina is a E-5 air traffic controller stationed at imperial beach CA. Thanks so much to chief Lohman.
Brad loved chatting with me for whatever reason or at least he made me feel as though he did. That is a wonderful thing to be able to do for someone.
I loved Brad. I will miss him more than I have missed anyone up to this point in my life because of all that we commonly shared. I salute you Chief Brad Lohman!!!!

  6. Kris Lyons

    Dear Lohman Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Brad's passing. He always had so much energy and was so personable. He and his buddies allowed me to coach them in boys' hockey. They were so much fun. They just wanted to play the game. I just wanted to coach. It was a fantastic year. Skating on the lake behind the school was surreal with Brad leading the group to the bridge and back.
The next year he was my assistant, he wanted to help until he left for the service. He worked very hard in a difficult year.
May the good memories help you through this difficult period and time soften the sadness.
Brad with always have a special place in Moose Lake hockey and with me.
    With deepest sympathy,
    Kris Lyons
