John M. Coburn, age 51 of Pepin,
Born: April 6, 1957
Died: December 23, 2008 at the Pepin Manor after a courageous battle with cancer.
John was born in Durand, he was the son of Kenneth and Eilene (DeLong) Coburn. He graduated from Arkansaw High School in 1975, soon after he went to work on the farm with his father in Elk Creek, Town of Frankfurt, rural Pepin. John drove school bus for a while. He retired from farming in 2003, when he started having health issues.
John enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and the trips to Boston when his older brother was stationed there.
John is survived by two brothers, Dennis of Arkansaw, his twin brother Joseph (Carla) of Pepin, two sisters, Sandy (Chris) Berglund of Cumberland and Judy (Stan) Hutter of Durand, nine nieces and nephews, 8 great nieces and nephews, many aunts and cousins, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jerry and Jimmy, sister-in-law, Robyn Coburn and nephew Shane Coburn.
