Bernard H. Fredrickson Jr.

Bernard H. Fredrickson Jr., age 57 of Arkansaw, formerly of Plum City, died peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2020 at his home in Arkansaw. After a short battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).

Bernie was born on June 27, 1962 in Durand. He was the son of Bernard H. and Karen (Smith) Fredrickson Sr. Bernie grew up in Plum City and graduated from Plum City High School in 1981. He then joined the U.S. Navy and served in Scotland, Hawaii, and Florida. While in the Navy, Bernie met and married Pamela K. Burrow. Together they had one daughter, Melanne. They later divorced. In 1995, Bernie moved back to Plum City where he lived and worked as a union millwright. He also owned and operated Fredrickson Pump Service for five years. Bernie married his longtime friend and love of his life, Tammy Bishop on February 2, 2019 at Molly’s on Main in Plum City. Together they lived in Arkansaw, “west of the Chippewa River.”

Bernie enjoyed fishing on the Chippewa River with his friends and having a few dozen beers. He would help anyone with anything, and he was an all around fix-it man. Bernie was a man you could call on anytime for anything. He was especially devoted every day to pull a fast one on anyone that was susceptible!!!

I've known Bernie basically since he was born, and always been amazed at his forceful and great personality, as well as jealous of his great ability to deal with life and confidence. While we haven't seen him in a few years since we moved south, always expected to see him again because he seemed as if he would always be there. Cousin you were unforgettable in so many ways. Love and Condolences to the Family and all those that loved and miss you...
