Lucille  Bauer

Lucille Bauer, age 86 of Durand, died Saturday, October 9, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital in Chippewa Falls.

Lucille was born on October 6, 1935 in Plum City. She was the daughter of Nelson and Caroline (Hill) King. Lucille grew up on the family farm in Porcupine and graduated from Arkansaw High School. She married Harold C. Bauer on October 6, 1953 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Plum City. After marriage, they farmed and lived in Town of Peru, where she remained the rest of her life. Lucille worked at Fabratech and Minnesota Wire and Cable, both in Eau Claire.

Lucille enjoyed crafts, playing the piano and making bookmarks for people. She also enjoyed collecting. Most of all, Lucille loved to spend time with family and friends.

Lucille is survived by her husband of 68 years, Harold; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, Godchildren, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, one child in infancy Joseph and three brothers, Charles King, Nelson King Jr. and Michael King in infancy.

Private Family Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church-Lima in Durand. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Rhiel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Durand, is serving the family.
