Edna K Hanson
Edna Katherine Hanson, age 90 of Menomonie, died Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at the Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie.
Edna was born October 24, 1918, in the Town of Menomonie. She grew up on the family farm and was the daughter Paul and Florence (Burkhardt) Stoll. Edna attended and graduated from the Dunn County Aggie School in 1937. After school, Edna married Carl Staff and they later divorced. Edna later married Elmer Hanson. After marriage, they farmed west of Menomonie. Edna worked at various places before working at the Indianhead Motor Plaza when she retired. Elmer passed away September 5, 1989.
Edna loved to knit, play cards, spend time in her raspberry patch and go trout fishing. Whenever the opportunity came, Edna took her grandchildren and great grandchildren to the Yellowstone National Park and the Bear Tooth Mountains in Montana.
Edna is survived by her daughter Phyllis (Larry) Williams of Menomonie, three granddaughters, Cathy Olson of Eau Claire, Cam Werner of Long Beach, CA and Cindy Bujanovich of Hales Corners, three great grandchildren, Mike and Jim Olson and Danielle Bujanovich, three great great grandchildren, Alexus Vore-Olson, Chris Olson and John Olson, one brother, Phillip Stoll of Fond Du Lac, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer and a daughter and son in infancy.
