Myrna A. Brantner

Myrna A. Brantner, age 82 of Rock Falls, passed away on Friday October 22, 2021 at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire surrounded by her loving family.

Myrna was born February 15, 1939, at home in the Township of Red Cedar, Dunn County.  She was the daughter of Herman and Sylvia (Dawson) Hubbard and grew up in that area.  She married Frank K. Brantner Jr. January 15, 1957, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Rock Falls.  After marriage they moved to the Brantner home farm, where they farmed and raised their seven children.

She enjoyed playing cards, dancing, fishing, attending her children and grandchildren’s school activities and sporting events. She also enjoyed attending family card parties and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Myrna is survived by her husband, Frank, five children, Jim (Audrey) of Durand, Tony (Anita) of Glenwood City, Cheryl (Dave) Weisenbeck of Durand, Corey (Wendy) Brantner of Durand, Lisa (Dedric) Bazille of Glenwood City; 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; three sisters, Arlene Cataract, Sharon (Allard) Jackson and Marjorie Hanson; sisters-in-law, Joann Hubbard and Donna Carothers, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Victoria, and son Jody; a grandson, Darin Brantner; three brothers, Lyle, Russell and Darrell Hubbard.

Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Friday October 29, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rock Falls with Rev. Timothy Welles officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
