Glen L Heit
Glen L. Heit age 88 of Durand,
Born: October 20, 1920
Died: March 4, 2009 at the Heritage of Elmwood Nursing Home in Elmwood.
Glen was the son of Louis and Catherine Heit and was born and raised in Arkansaw. He graduated from the Arkansaw High School in 1939. In 1942, Glen join the Navy and served during WWII. Glen married Erma L. “Sandy” Schultz June 26, 1947 in Chicago. After marriage Glen started Real Estate in 1947 and sold with Jerry Auth. In 1954 he became a partner with Jerry Auth and in 1958 Glen started his own business, Heit Realty Incorporated.
Glen was a member of St. Mary’s Parish in Durand and a 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the American Legion.
Glen is survived by his wife, Erma “Sandy”, three sons, Gary (Karen Siegert) of Edina, MN, Gregory (Pam) and Steven, both of Durand, four grandchildren, Grant Heit of Cambridge, MN, Camalla (Chad) Catt-DeWyre of Mondovi, MyLynnda Heit of Durand and Tiffannie (Fiancé Jeremy Saueressig) Heit of Inver Grove Heights, MN, two great grandsons, Brevin Humphrey of Durand and Keegen Catt of Mondovi. He is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Raymond, Ralph, Joseph, Roy and Al, three sisters, Lucy, Margaret and Alice and grandson-in-law, Kasey Catt.
