As some people journey through life, they leave footprints of kindness and love, courage and compassion, joy and faith. Even when they're gone, the trail they've left behind continues to inspire us. Dorothy was one of those people that did just that. Praying God will comfort and care for you all while you celebrate the legacy that lives on.

  7. Deanna Schlosser Rippley

I first meet Dorothy in the late 1950's not long after she and Bob were married. They visited us at our farm and after my Dad (Ivan) finished milking, Bob and Dad went down into our cave like basement and played bumper pool for hours, both wanting to win. Dorothy and my m3other (Emma) waited and waited at the kitchen table for them to finish. Dorothy loved watching Bob play basketball and softball. At that time Lima had great teams. Later Dorothy would watch her children play and then her grandchildren. She sat with friends high up in the bleachers with their backs against the wall. Dorothy was known by many as a respected member our community. She was a loved sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed.

I am so saddened by the loss of Dorothy. She was such a sweetheart and so full of interest and love of so many. She sure enjoyed everything her large family did, and supported them as much as she could. I think back with such fond memories of the birthday, graduation, wedding, etc. parties. You'd hear her laugh across the room and you'd see her total enjoyment of the beautiful family she and Bob started. I am so sad I hadn't seen her in so long, but many memories are in me to hold dear. Hugs to all of you kids and grandkids! She was so lucky to have all of you, and you her. RIP Sweet Dorothy.
