Edward L. Tibbetts age 92 of Menomonie and also Eau Galle,

Died: Thursday March 5, 2009 at his home in Menomonie.

Ed was born August 14th 1916 in Arkansaw, the son of Elmer & Ida Tibbetts and baptized in the Catholic Church and graduated from Arkansaw High School in 1936. Ed spent 13 months in the C.C.C. Camp in 1937; he served 45 months in the U. S. Army Air Corps 42 of those months overseas in Hawaii. Ed married Mary L. Pattee on January 3, 1948. They operated Tibbetts Heating Company for 20 years. Mary passed away in 1984. Ed later married Charlotte Moody in 1986, and they spent 21 years together until Charlotte passed away. Ed enjoyed going to Arizona for the winter, he loved to grow beautiful flowers, going to thrift sales and flea markets, writing poetry and songs.

Ed is survived by a daughter Linda (Richard) Larson of Menomonie; two grandsons, Brian (Renee) Larson and Scott (Jenny) Larson and five great grandchildren, all of Menomonie; two step daughters, Lorean (Charles) McReynolds of Las Cruces, NM; Marlene Fedie of Eau Claire; one step son James (Nancy) Moody of Pepin; a brother, Palmer (Kathy) Tibbetts of Greendale, WI.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 40 years, Mary L. Tibbetts; his second wife Charlotte of 21 years.
