Betty L Werner
Betty L. Werner age 84 of Eau Claire and formerly of Elk Mound,
Died: Thursday March 5, 2009 at the Syverson Lutheran Home in Eau Claire.
Betty was born in Menomonie on September 14, 1924. She was the daughter of George and Sylvia (DeMars) Feyen. She graduated from Menomonie High School in 1942. Betty married John Werner June 12, 1947. After marriage they spent the majority of their married life in rural Elk Mound where she excelled as a mother and homemaker raising their seven children.
Betty later worked as a cook for the Elk Mound School District and Luther Hospital. She was also a Volunteer at Luther Hospital and was an active member of St. Joseph’s Parish, Elk Mound.
Betty is survived by her husband, John, her three sons, Jerry (Arlene) of Connecticut, Tom (Mariceli) and Larry, both of Eau Claire, four daughters, Barb (Chuck) Cramer, Kathy (Jim) Schmidt both of Eau Claire, Sharon (Glenn O’Dell) Werner of California and Susan (Anthony) Herr of Prescott, 15 grandchildren, 5 ½ great grandchildren, one brother Michael Feyen of Sheboygan and two sisters-in-law, Velma Feyen of Menomonie and Sadie Feyen of Minneapolis, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Donald and Robert Feyen.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Syverson Lutheran Home, Northwest Wisconsin Homecare and Luther Hospital for the wonderful care given to our mother.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Syverson Lutheran Home in Eau Claire.
