Martha Brenner, age 85 of Durand, died Friday, May 20, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN.

Martha was born on July 7, 1936 in Tirschenreuth, Germany. She was the daughter of Martin and Anna (Bock) Wurl. In 1956, Martha married Donald Brenner. She moved to the United States in 1957 and became a citizen in 1969. Together Martha and Donald farmed in the Town of Lima until moving to the City of Durand, where she remained the rest of life. Martha also did seasonal work at the Durand Cannery and Huntsinger farms.

Martha is survived by one nephew, Walter Wurl and family, and one niece, Christel Eichorn and family. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters and two nieces.

The friends of Martha would like to thank Dr. Ottman, Dr. Rucker and the staff at Advent Health Clinics and Hospital for their loving care and support of Martha.  

Private Family Services will be held.

   I was sorry to hear of Martha's passing. She was a special aunt. We visited her about 2 weeks before her death. Martha told us about her helpful friends and neighbors. Thank you to them for being there for her.
