Dale W. Mallory, age 76 of Menomonie, passed away on Friday, April 03, 2009 at the Red Cedar Medical Center in Menomonie.

Dale was born in Whittemore, IA on July 13, 1932, the son of Morris and Ida (Lattmon) Mallory. He graduated from Aurelia High School In Aurelia, IA in May of 1994. Dale joined the U.S. National Guard and completed one year training in electronics. He completed years of training in Broadcast Engineering at Central Technical Institute in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1953 Dale worked at WNEM Television Station, Channel 5, as a Broadcast Engineer in Saginaw Michigan. In 1954 Dale Married Jadwiga “Yaja” Baszuro in Cherokee, IA and to this union were one daughter and two sons. In 1957 they moved to Madison, WI were Dale worked at WISC, Channel 3 Television Station. In 1970 he was hired by the University of Wisconsin-Stout as a Technical Engineer. Dale was awarded tenure at Stout where he worked for 24 years, retiring in 1994. Dale’s love of his live was his family. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and the Loyal Order of the Moose #1584. Dale loved music, fishing, camping and playing pool with his family and friends.

Dale is survived by his loving Yaja of 54 years, son Edwin of Menomonie; daughter Teresa Mallory and husband Steve Haro of West Bend; son Paul (Kathy) of Nome, AK, two grandchildren, Marianna and John, two sisters, Geraldine Lynn of Michigan City, IN and Maureen Jones of Cherokee, IA, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Lois Mallory, one brother Edwin and sister-in-law, Alice; father and mother-in-law, Witold and Mary Baszuro, brothers-in-law, Charles Wingert and Sam Lynn.
