David H. Siegel

David H. Siegel

David H. Siegel, 94, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at his home in Spring Valley, Wisconsin.  He was the second of identical twins born to Reverend William and Alberta Hoof Siegel. 

David served as an Army Infantryman in the Korean War.  He was wounded in action and awarded the Purple Heart.  After serving his country David earned his bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Minnesota.  He taught in the Roseville Area Schools until his retirement in 1985. After retirement, he became owner and operator of Creative Educational Materials, an educational mail order business, until he sold the business in 1999.

Dave was a longtime resident of Inver Grove Heights and member of Bethesda Lutheran Church. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Don, a sister Marilyn Johnson, and an infant sister Roberta.

 David is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ann Nelson Siegel; children Steve (Cheri), Tom (Kari), Tim (Colleen), Jon (Anna), Sairey (Dan), and Matt (Wendy); eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday November 14, 2022, at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Inver Grove Heights.  Burial with military honors will be held at the Poplar Hill Cemetery, rural Elmwood, Wisconsin.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM Monday November 14, 2022, at Bethesda Lutheran Church until the time of the services.

Memorials may be made to Bethesda Lutheran Church, in memory of Dave.
