Ronald J. Werner

Ronald J. Werner, age 59, of Menomonie, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022, at Methodist Hospital-Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, MN.

Ron was born February 13, 1963, in Menomonie.  He was the son of Milton and Irene (Potter) Werner and grew up in Menomonie.  Ron graduated from Menomonie High School in 1981.  After high school, Ron attended Chippewa Valley Technical School and graduated with an Associate Degree in Agri-Business.  Ron began farming with his grandfather in Menomonie and later took over the farm.  Ron married Ann Weber and had two children, John and Ashley, and later divorced.  Ron later married Lisa Bataglia Weghorn December 19, 2017, and gained two stepsons, Daniel and Timothy.

Ron’s passion was farming and being in the outdoors.  He enjoyed working on his “Mopar” cars.  He enjoyed hunting, his cattle dogs, going to wineries with Lisa, and spending time with family.

Ron is survived by his wife, Lisa; two children, John (Alicia) Werner of Menomonie, Ashley (Joshua) Ausman of Richfield, MN; two stepsons, Daniel Weghorn and Timothy (Lexara) Clark; two step-grandchildren, LaTori and Kambrie; three sisters, Wanda (Don) Barclay, Cheryl (Don) Zahurones and Judy Millar; several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bill Werner.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 PM Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Rhiel Funeral Home in Menomonie.
