Dorothy M. Field, age 68 of Menomonie, died unexpectedly on February 22, 2023 at Red Cedar Hospital-Mayo in Menomonie.

Dorothy was born on October 28, 1954 in Menomonie. She was the daughter of Earl T. and LaVerle J. (Kitchner) Field. Dorothy grew up in Elmwood and attended Elmwood High School. After high school, Dorothy moved to Menomonie where began her career in housekeeping and started her family. Her passion was childcare, taking of her children, nieces, nephews and later her grandson. Dorothy also enjoyed reading, watching wrestling on tv and listening to music.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Chad Schwandt, Joshua Field and Ashley Husby, three grandchildren, Joycelyn Husby, Justice Husby and Bentley Husby, siblings, Jean Mitchell, Sue Lovell, John (Lynette) Field, Loretta (Wayne) Stark, Lorraine Matthews, Doris Smith, Deloris Field and Marie (Mike) Shafer, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Brandon Field and siblings, Don, Robert and Kathleen Scott.

Private family services will be at a later date.

Rhiel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Menomonie, is serving the family.
