Roger F Norrish

Roger Frank Norrish, 60, of Rock Falls passed away Monday, May 22, 2023 at his home in rural Rock Falls.

Roger was born on January 3, 1963 at Sacred Heart Hospital. The youngest son of Lowell and Elaine (Falkner) Norrish, Roger grew up in the Rock Falls area and graduated from Mondovi High School in 1982. After high school, Roger earned a degree in Applied Mathematics from UW-Stout. Roger moved to California following graduation and worked for McDonnell Douglas Corporation and LA Gas. Roger returned to the family farm in Wisconsin in 1989, where Roger farmed for many years with his brother Randy.

Roger enjoyed driving tractor, gardening, and playing cards, specifically Pfeffer.

Roger is survived by his mother Elaine of Rock Falls; four siblings Charlene (LeRoy) Books of Whitefish, MT; Randy (Judy) of Rock Falls; Ron (Laurie) of Livermore, CA; Karen (Tim) Troyer, of Stanley; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his father Lowell, and his sister-in-law Jane Norrish.

Visitation will be held at Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand Wednesday May 31, 2023 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM with a prayer service led by Father Tim Welles at 6:30 pm followed by remarks from the family.  Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Rock Falls on June 1st at 10 am.
