Tammy L Arneson

Tammy Louise Arneson, age 61 of Mondovi, died Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Eau Claire.

Tammy was born on October 10, 1961 in Durand. She was the daughter of Kenneth and Maxine (Glaus) Poeschel and grew up in the Town of Lima. Tammy attended Sacred Heart Catholic School in Lima and graduated from Durand High School in 1980. After high school, Tammy worked various jobs in the area including the IGA and Bauer Bros. Tammy married Jeff Arneson on November 5, 1988 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church-Lima. After marriage, they farmed and raised their family in the Town of Canton rural Mondovi. When her children were older, Tammy volunteered at Holy Rosary Catholic Church and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. For the last few years, Tammy worked at Caddie Woodlawn Elementary School in the cafeteria. A job she absolutely loved. Tammy enjoyed her time with the students and her co-workers.

Tammy liked mowing the lawn, cooking, baking, bowling and spoiling little kids. Most of all, Tammy loved spending time with her family and friends.

Tammy is survived by her husband of 34 years, Jeff, children Christopher and Caitlin Arneson, both of Mondovi, sister Shirley (Jim) Klein of Plum City, brother-in-law Tony Albrecht of Winona, MN, nieces and nephews, Todd (Michelle) Poeschel of Nelson, TJ (Sarah) Poeschel of Durand, Jessica Klein of Eau Claire, Jennifer Klein of Inver Grove Heights, MN and Dan (Shane) Klein of Bloomington, MN, cousins, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Al (Pat) Poeschel, Marcia Albrecht and James “Jim” Poeschel.

Visitation will be 10:00AM-12:00PM Noon Saturday, September 9, 2023 at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand. A Celebration of Life will follow from 12:00PM-4:00PM at the Corral’s Orton Room in Durand.
