Elton R Talford
Elton R. Talford age 84
Born: May 31, 1924
Died: May 15, 2009 at Dove Nursing Home in Eau Claire.
Elton was the son of Plin and Anna (Hysen) Talford. Elton grew up in the Rock Falls area. He was a graduate of the Durand High School. Elton married Goldia Becker on May 6, 1950 in Mondovi. After marriage, they farmed in the Rock Creek area where they raised their children and taught them the ethics of hard work. Elton farmed all of his life until his health took him to the Dove Health Care Center.
Elton was a kind and loving man of faith who lived for and found great joy in his family. He was a life long member of Rock Creek Lutheran Church. His love for and faith in God through his life will be a legacy in the lives of those he loved.
Elton was very blessed to have such a close loving family. He is survived by children, Diane Nelson of Farmington, MN, Steve (Linda) Talford of Durand, Carol (Mike) Hartley of Milwaukee, Rick (Kathy) Talford of Rock Falls, Sandy (Bob) Froystad of Rock Falls, grandchildren, Jill, Amy, Becky, Troy, Chris, Ben, Andy, Nick, Beth, Jake, Josh and Grace, two great grandchildren, Alexis and Cole, three brothers, Duane (Gladys) of Rock Falls, Arnold of Eau Claire and Robert (Verna) of Rock Falls, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Goldia 2008 and one brother Kenneth Talford.
