Arlene Bernadine Schuh age 85

Died: May 23 2009 at the Plum City Health Care Center in Plum City, peacefully, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer

Arlene was the daughter of John P. and Rose (Pichler) Bauer. She attended and graduated from Sacred Heart School at Lima.

She married Dallas Schuh August 4, 1942 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at Lima. After marriage they settled on the Schuh home farm near Rock Falls. She loved being outdoors, surrounded by nature and going for rides in the country.

Arlene is survived by four daughters: Brenda (George) Taylor of Lake Elmo, MN, Bonnie Knapton of Fridley, MN, Bettie (David) Norgord of Chandler, AZ, Rosann (Gary) Sweeney of Durand, WI, nine grandchildren: Jeffry (Patty) Taylor, Chris (Sharon) Taylor, Joy (Jonathan) Benson, Ryan Knapton, Mike (Sabrina) Norgord, Mandi (Justin) Campbell, Jennifer (Mike Dahl) Sweeney, Stephanie (Theron) Drier, and Amy Sweeney, five great-grandchildren: Alex Taylor, Alaina Taylor, Nicolo Taylor, Connor Norgord, and Thade Drier, one brother: Clarence “Spike” (Clara) Bauer of Durand, WI, and two sisters Beats Brunner of Durand, WI, and Millie (Guy) Miller of Rice Lake, WI. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dallas in 1977, and grandson Todd Taylor.

Memorial service will be held at 11:30am Friday, May 29, 2009 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church-Lima, rural Durand. Father Jeffrey Burrill will officiate. Burial will be in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, Rock Falls. Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Thursday at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand, WI and also one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
