Daniel C Schofield
Daniel C. Schofield, age 63 of Strum, died unexpectedly on Monday, December 11, 2023 in Strum.
Dan was born on July 3, 1960 in Eau Claire. He was the son of Lloyd and Barbara (Martinson) Schofield. Dan grew up in Eau Claire, Mondovi and attended Durand High School. After high school, Dan worked for Myren farms until he started his trucking career with his brother Lloyd “Butch”. Together they ran Schofield trucking with over the road trucking and milk hauling. Dan also worked for Kelly Iverson Trucking and Kendall-Klevgard Trucking.
In his younger years, Dan enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was always willing to help anyone in need and his laugh was well known amongst family and friends. Mostly, Dan loved spending time with his family and friends.
Dan is survived by his fiancé Penny Weaver of Strum, Penny’s children Stephanie Beck, Anita (Tony Paisley) Kampa and Taylor (friend Caitlin) Nelson and nine grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Steve (Wendy) of Durand, Penny Schofield of Arkansaw, Pam (Tim) Setterlund of Durand, Sue (friend Steve) Schofield of Superior, Pat Schofield of Eau Claire and Lori Schofield of Umatilla, FL, sister-in-law Teresa Schofield of Mondovi, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Barbara and a brother, Lloyd “Butch”.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
